ISMAEL N. (MILO) MARTINEZ, CPA
MANAGING PARTNER

Ismael (Milo) Martinez is the Managing Partner of MRC. He serves as the Engagement Partner and is responsible for planning and controlling the audit, reviewing audit results and conclusions, and directing the preparation of the report to the board of directors and its audit committee. During the engagements, he is available for discussion, consultation, and to advise clients on the status of their engagement.

Milo has over 40 years of public accounting experience including over 4 years with the national accounting firm of Ernst & Young, LLP. He has provided audit, tax, and accounting services to a wide variety of clients. The engagements he has served have provided vast experience with governmental entities, non-profit organizations, healthcare entities and other commercial entities. Milo is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and is licensed in the State of Texas. He has served as either engagement partner or concurring partner on all engagements.

Milo served as President on the National Board of Directors of the American Association of Hispanic Certified Public Accountants from 1996 to 2000. He has also served on the Leadership San Antonio Steering Committee, and he is an alumnus of the program. In addition, he is a member and past president of the San Antonio Association of Hispanic Certified Public Accountants. Furthermore, Milo is a member of the AICPA, the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA), the San Antonio Chapter of the TSCPA, Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

He has conducted governmental accounting seminars for the National Association of Latino Elected & Appointed Officials (NALEO), school board trustees, county commissioners, and city council members. In addition, he has been active in several charitable organizations such as organizations such as El Centro del Barrio, Advance for Under-Resourced Families of Young Children (AVANCE), American Heart Association, the United Way, and the Leukemia Society. Milo has served as an accounting instructor at the Funding Information Center of San Antonio and the Community College level.
